Later, Pat is taken aback when he learns from Roger that Faith and Tom are going on a secluded vacation. Siobhan arrives at the hospital waiting room and convinces Pat to take her to dinner at Lem's. Delia sails into Jill's office clothed in her new fur ensemble and asks Jill to represent her in a custody hearing against Frank, for free. When Delia tells her that she does not want to use her money to pay lawyer fees, Jill declines and gives her a piece of her mind. At Lem's, Siobhan pours her heart out to Pat about her latest mistake and vehemently denies leaking the information, and is grateful when Pat believes her. When Pat questions her decision to quit, Siobhan tells him that it is hard to work well when you are surrounded by a group of people who do not believe in you. Jill visits Roger and tells him of Delia wanting free legal advice. Roger tells Jill that he and Delia are proper parents for Little John. Siobhan is comforted by Pat when she yearns for the same loving treatment that Maeve and Johnny give to Mary, Frank, and himself. At Rae's apartment, Rae becomes edgy when reporters continue to call about the allegation thrown at him from the Wes Leonard article. Later, when Rae asks Frank if he cares that his political career is going down the tubes, Frank tells her that this has helped him to realize that he has given up on what really matters in the world, Jill and Edmund, and to lose the campaign now will only be ironic. Jill, Seneca, and Edmund spend time as a family and are happy together. When Delia starts about wanting to take over Faith's part of the house, she makes Roger see that living in the house his father use to occupy is something that he wants to do. Later, Roger tells Delia that having children of his own does not appeal to him, that he is open to helping her raise Little John, and feels this would be the best way - to raise a child to be around, but ultimately having no responsibility. Happy, Delia tells him that she is going to go out tomorrow and find a lawyer to represent her. While playing cards, Tom makes an extremely bored Faith happy when he tells her their vacation begins tomorrow. Later, Tom cautions Faith when she tells him that she plans to do as much as she can because she is tired of playing it safe. Meanwhile, Rae is taken aback when she advises Frank to ignore the business of the Wes Leonard column. Frank demands that he is going to straighten things out his way because he has compromised enough for the Senate as it is. Later, when a major wire service calls, Frank tells them the truth about Larry Paige's offer, much to Rae and Bob's demise, and knows that now the only thing to do is wait to see if it has hurt him or helped him.

Across town, when Faith tells Mary how well Tom is taking care of her, Mary jokes with her that she went from one rescuer to another, which angers Tom who is listening from the hall. Later, Mary talks about Theresa Donohue, and tells Faith that since her death, Tom has been looking for someone to love and care for and that he has finally found it in Faith. At the hospital, Johnny tells Bob of his worries and what the Wes Leonard column can do to Frank's political career. Later, when the two run into Seneca, Johnny and Seneca have a major conflict over Edmund and the roles that Maeve and Johnny will have in Edmund's life. Meanwhile, Wes explains to Siobhan exactly how he got hold of the letter and keels over into Jack's arms when Siobhan slaps him across the face. Angry, Siobhan tells Wes that he has put her in a place where her word means nothing to her family. She will never be able to forgive him. Later, when Maeve and Mary try to apologize for their mistrust in her, Siobhan tells them this just proves that she will never have a place in the family and that she knows now is the time for her to get on with her life on her own terms. At the hospital, Johnny tells Bob about his recent conversation with Frank and of his regrets of everything that Frank has given up for the campaign. Meanwhile, Maeve and Mary express hope in being able to talk with Siobhan tomorrow. In the bar, Siobhan thanks Jack for providing the proof that she is not a liar. At Ryan's, Mary tells Siobhan that she is glad she is home so that she can make things up with her. Frank arrives and gives the group a run-down on Maeve's performances all day. When Rae arrives, she offers Mary her congratulations on the interview earlier that day and offers her $40,000 a year as the anchorperson on the local evening news.
