But on daytime, Bernsen (real-life son of Young and Restless star Jeanne Cooper) couldn't get arrested as RH cop Ken Graham. "I didn't do a whole lot," the actor candidly admits. "I called myself the soap spear carrier. They never really fleshed [Ken] out. I didn't live anywhere. I had no family, nothing," he explains. It wasn't long before the show gave him his walking papers. "It hurt at the time," he recalls. "I had to shuffle around for my rent money. But it worked out. The truth is I'm a better actor now."
